I would like to commend Samuel Katz on his well written article “Fear and loathing…..”.
Might I add that it skips a lot of people’s notice that the pro-life/ pro-choice debate is not a quite a religious matter – even though some would like us to believe otherwise. The whole idea (well! at least that’s how I see it) is whether the state should be allowed to make decisions regarding someone’s life ad choices. Personally, I think it’d be disastrous if it so happens.
On a lighter note, I quote a lady very dear to me – “All this wouldn’t be a big deal if men could get pregnant!”
Well! maybe we do live in an adam’s world!
Thanks, Kanishk.
There is so much to write about the abortion rights debate, and there probably is an equal amount to write about the “state” of the debate, as you touched on with your quote.

When is someone going to look at the salaries of those that have overstayed their welcome at Stony Brook Univerity. With seniority comes a sense of entitlement and security, and the personal drive to prove that some of theses “professionals” are deserving of such salaries, diminishes. We now have a bunch of do nothing, “lame ducks” running this campus and Dr. Stanley needs to clean house and bring in fresh new faces with new ideas. There are too many jacks of all trades and masters of none.

Along with having years of experience, these “professionals”, soon show a lack of enthusiasm; as repetition breeds boredom and many of those “seasoned professionals” have become too comfortable and they tend to lose focus of the responsibilities before them.
It’s time to Change and cut costs by weeding out the dead wood!
